In October 1997, both the base game and the Mission CD DLC were released as The Settlers II: Gold Edition.
In September 2006, a remake was released called The Settlers II (10th Anniversary), or Die Siedler II (Die nächste Generation) in Germany.
In November 2018, The Settlers II: Gold Edition was re-released as The Settlers II: History Edition, with enhanced graphics and additional features. This History Edition is also a part of The Settlers: History Collection (Nov 2018).
